How to improve compound bow archery skills in a relatively short period of time

In order to improve compound bow archery skills in a relatively short period of time, in addition to a solid grasp of the basic technical action principles, it is also necessary to deepen understanding and strengthen training in the following key aspects.

The linear symmetrical string-receiving technique of the compound bow after the bow is opened is crucial. Under the premise of maintaining the balanced release of the front and rear symmetrical forces, ensure that the bowstring can accurately lean on the same position of the lower jaw every time, which not only helps to improve the stability and accuracy of aiming, but also helps the archer to better feel the consistency of the front and rear symmetrical forces.

On the basis of maintaining the consistency of the front support and rear pull linear symmetrical forces, the rear hand positioning is a key technology. The rear hand positioning referred to here requires that the contact between the rear hand and the face should be moderate while maintaining the linear symmetrical force, avoiding excessive reliance on the slight changes in the head and neck muscles that affect the direction of the linear force. At the same time, the rear hand needs to maintain a consistent relationship with the side lower jaw, and any rotation or change may cause the linear force point of the release device acting on the bowstring to shift. When using the release device, the position of the string hook must be fixed and consistent each time, and a slight change in the position of the string hook point will directly lead to the height deviation of the arrow.

The essence of compound bow aiming technology is to align the outer ring of the sight through the rear sight window on the bowstring while maintaining symmetrical force, so that the center point is accurately aligned with the target. As long as the window, the front sight and the target are in a straight line, the bull's eye can be accurately shot. The outer ring of the sight in the rear sight window must be centered. At the same time, the method of aiming force is also very important. The correct way is to accurately align the aiming point with the bull's eye by adjusting the waist on the basis of maintaining the linear symmetrical force. As long as the aiming relationship remains unchanged, the arrow can be guaranteed to hit.

The arrow release link is also very important. At the moment of pulling the release device, the shot arrow should hit the bull's eye directly. Generally speaking, we do not encourage you to keep the front sight firmly fixed on the bull's eye, and the aiming time should not be too long or too short. For most beginners, it is often difficult to take into account both the front and the back, resulting in the trigger being pulled before the aiming is accurate. This is often said that the energy is too far back, and they are worried that their symmetrical linear force will be deformed after aiming. There are also many archers who, when they fix the crosshairs on the bull's eye, want to pull the trigger but deviate from the target. This problem can be attributed to the energy shifting from the front to the back or insufficient coordination. Therefore, the mastery of the release timing requires archers to constantly explore the rules in combination with their own physical fitness and coordination.

When releasing an arrow, you need to pay attention to the following points: First, the finger force should be moderate when pulling the trigger. The correct way is to let the thumb gently touch the trigger and gradually press down until the arrow is shot out. Second, you should pay attention to the strength of the back, back elbow or wrist. The muscles of each part should maintain a consistent tense state to ensure that the released arrow flies in a straight line to the target. Specifically, if the back elbow exceeds the back extension line of the arrow, the relative force is too large, and the arrow is biased to the left; if the back elbow is inward or does not reach the back extension line of the arrow, the arrow is biased to the right. Of course, it is also feasible for some archers to use the back elbow inward to transfer the back straight line force to the wrist.
